A small and local dining spot with an excellent selection of smoothies, soups, sandwiches all made with local ingredients.
This is a great place if your are in the mood for something healthy, I usually get a smoothie and a soup or maybe a grilled cheese they have a lot of options to Choose from and the wait is never too bad
Great soups and smoothies here. If you're lucky (and you're at the S. Lamar location), a brilliant fruit alchemist named Kitty will make you the best smoothie in town, hands down. My favorites are the Rip Torn, the Busy Bee, and the Voltron.
David Ansel began his business in 2002 delivering soup to the neighborhoods of South Austin on his bicycle. David opened his first brick-and-mortar store in 2012, which paired his amazing soups and well curated juice and smoothie menu along with selective salads and pressed sandwiches.
They have daily specials and this is how I discovered my favorite smoothie, The Golden Ticket. It consists of local Curcuma Turmeric paste, banana, almond butter ( I substitute raw almonds ), dates, hemp milk and cinnamon.
One of the best local businesses to get healthy, fast food made from high quality ingredients. The staff is always friendly, and the menu has plenty of gluten free and veg options. When it's cold, I grab some bone broth to go, and a couple of refrigerated 32oz bags of soup to warm up at home.
