Sushi is first rate. We sat at the bar, had almost too attentive service. Manager stopped by several times. Staff is efficient and well versed on menu and wine options. Got very good recommendations. Parking in the union can be a bit of a challenge.

Came in for a few bites and potentially dinner but only got a seat at the bar so did not stay for larger portions and sushi. The bites and appetizers were very good, especially the SeaBass soup- I would have ordered another! Had the seating been more comfortable we would have ordered sushi. We also wanted accommodation for no raw fish (smoked and cooked only) which was an issue which deterred me from ordering more. The bar service was lacking where the females would favor parties with males (thinking their tips would be better) and our party of females was mostly ignored. Sadly, I would have ordered much more resulting in a larger tip if they had been attentive. I'm sure the food is wonderful and would like to try if I can return and have better service and customized orders.

The food was amazing and the plating was so fun! I really enjoyed the large menu with many options. The drink menu was quite large as well and featured a long list of Japanese Whisky's, but they are a bit overpriced in my opinion, same as the cocktails. The ambiance was a little off for me, the restaurant was very quiet and very open with little decorations. In addition the tables are a bit small for how many plates you will order. The server hovered and watched us eat which made us a little uncomfortable, then in the second half of the meal the server was barely around. I will go back; the sushi is great. I just may sit at the bar or the sushi bar which both looked cool.

Extremely friendly staff who seem to enjoy their work! Delicious fresh fish and well balanced flavors in every dish we tried. Beautiful dining environment.

When we walked in I was under the assumption this restaurant was your typical Japanese and hibachi grill. I was wrong! My husband and I loved this restaurant and most of all the food and people. Arthur was fantastic as making us feel welcome and took some time to say hello and make us feel comfortable. Mel was our server and she was great. Knowing little of the menu she lead us in our selections and they were delicious. The soft shell crab tempura, lobster tempura were wonderful choices. However, the Wagu Truffle Risotto stole the show. It was amazing! I’m thankful we chose to stay in the Guild apartments so we could find this gem but most importantly the people! Worth every penny!
