Got to taste Nepali and Indian mixed taste like nowhere else. The service was very good. I appreciate their choice of ingredients in menu items.
One of my favorite vegetarian restaurants. They never disappoint. The quality and taste of food is very good and so is the hospitality of everyone who works there. I would highly recommend giving the restaurant a try if you have already. You will not regret it.
Get to their buffet early and eat your heart out. It’s a steal for how good their food is. What I love most is that they have a broad range of vegetarian options, and if you have any dietary preferences they’ll go out of their way to ensure you’re taken care of.
Note: If you ask for spicy during their dinner hours, you’ll get SPICY! Beware!
Clean, simple, and outstandingly delicious. I’ve never had a bad meal here, and eaten here many times. The ambience is “diner:” picture simple tables, chairs, overhead lighting, some unremarkable Tibetan and Indian art on the walls. It’s a strip mall veneer, windows overlook the parking lot, and next door is another treasure: the venerable Boulevard Bar & Grill. The lunch buffet is incredible and diverse, and if what you want is a concerto of flavors for lunch, by all means go for lunch. But dinner is amazing. Same menu for both meals, but you will find yourself staring through the doorway into the small kitchen asking yourself how in the world all that wonderful food can come out of such a tiny space.
If the Renaissance returns to Austin, it will begin at Saffron, in the heart of Far West.
Saffron cannot be over praised. It is reasonably priced, simple, excellent. No hype, just great food.
We love Saffron! We keep coming there for lunch once a week. The buffet option makes it easy to step out from work for a quick lunch. The food is delicious and not too spicy, which for me is a big plus! The buffet offers many vegetarian options, and there are always several chicken dishes, and sometimes fish.
