Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q

A great experience and with 5 stars being the ultimate experience a 4 is impressive.
Seating was long picnic tables and playing are buried paper squares, no kidding.
Keeping with the picnic theme Rudy's has a kids play area. Every was clean and tidy.
It's a good stop for the family.

I very much enjoyed the Brisket. I liked that you could order by the weight of the meat you were getting and I thought the potatoes were very good. I would love to see them change to all paper products for the drinks and any to-go containers to paper based if they are plastic. I liked that you ate off of a wax type paper rather than having to clean dishes or have more plastic go into a dump. It's a great place to take the family!

Rudys is constantly great! Love the causal family friendly atmosphere. The brisket and chicken is wonderful. Really like the potato salad and the hot ones too. And we always love getting the breakfast tacos! Oh and there are bananas in the banana cream pudding! Try it all!

"Worst BBQ in Texas" is an ironic slogan that's it's far from the truth, but it brings about a smile on my face every time I see it. I travel near and far to test our highly acclaimed BBQ and Rudy's sticks out more than any other. It's a charming gas station with some of the best BBQ I've had in Texas. Their meats and sauce rival some of the greats like Franklin's, Coopers, Salt Lick, ect. but their Coleslaw is unrivaled. Absolute BEST Coleslaw I've ever had. Their staff? Incredible. All of them seem to love their job and it shows

Friendly and reliable. Super Great atmosphere. Pretty good food. Brisket, chicken, sausage, cream corn, potato salad, bread always served with meat order. Large nice covered outdoor patio for dining in but service dogs only in this area. Non-service dogs may eat at picnic tables on side of covered patio by a children’s play area. Lots of room for everyone. Also here, Get gas. Car wash works well. Clean area.
