Bao'd Up Bobar - Riverside

Took a chance on this restaurant when I was actually only in the area for Walgreens. I got the four pack of the Juicy Pork, as well as the Variety Pack (veggie, chicken teriyaki, pork belly guabo, & egg cream.) Lucky for me, the juicy pork was delicious, so it was nice having extra. The Egg Cream was also a nice treat-- not too sweet, which is how I typically like desserts. The veggie, chicken teriyaki, and pork belly guabo was so-so, with room for improvement. This is a new location, so I'm sure they'll work things out!

they just reopened and the store looks amazing and very comforting to hang out with friends! They did remove a few of their food items, but did add a good amount of new drinks! customer service was amazing as well! felt very welcomed walking in! highly recommend revisiting for a new look and new environment! 💖💖💖💖

Decent. Don’t expect to be blown away by anything here. You can definitely find better authentic bao if you look, but this is serviceable! The food is hot, the flavor is rich, and the price for a full combo is more than reasonable. The biggest “issue” is the food is forgettable. There are options nearby that are much more appetizing. That said, you won’t regret going here. My fries were extremely overcooked and crispy to a fault.

I’ve never tried bao before here! I bought the chicken combo, and the steamed bun was really delicious. My only complaint is that the food isn’t fresh. The fries were just okay as they had been sitting under a warmer, but definitely still worth a try

Ordered a buffalo, cheesecake, a nutella bao, fries, and a lavender tea with brown sugar jellies for pick up. And OH MY GOSH IT WAS SO GOOD. The baos were light and delicious. I love that they weren't overly sweet like American treats are. The lavender tea was just amazing, I could drink it every day. The baos are about palm sized, perfect portions. I can't wait to eat here again. They were ready for pick up super quick and the staff was very nice, packaged with care. I wish I could give more stars because I am so satisfied, worth every penny!
