Bartlett's

Tonight I had a most pleasant experience at Austin's Bartlett's Restaurant. A friend and I stopped to get a steak and I asked for the cheese toast and was informed by Claire - our waitress, that we could only receive a free piece of this each if we ordered a salad. Although disappointed, I said "no". About 5 minutes into our meal, cheese toast was brought to our table - as a treat for us . thanks to Claire. We are two women aged 75 and 88. We were thrilled - at this age, it doesn't take much. This is a shout-out to Claire for being so kind as well as Bartlett's for always having the finest food.

I have never, ever had a better veggie burger than the one from Bartlett's. I dream about the thing. I used to go here pretty regularly for lunch when I worked in the area, but now we only drive down for special occasions. More's the pity -- I can't get a veggie burger like theirs anywhere else in town. I don't know what magic they put in it, but it's addictive. The staff are always friendly, efficient, and helpful with any questions, and the ambience is perfect. Great place!

Was in Austin for Fathers Day weekend and I am so glad I chose to bring my husband here! The food is absolutely phenomenal as well as the service! Possibly the best prime rib we’ve ever had! You deserve all the stars!! Oh and the dessert, apple walnut cobbler...to die for!!! Once in a great while you stumble across a food establishment done right and this one does!!

I decided to take my padre for Father's Day and was very happy at the experience.

The steak was cooked perfectly, and the mushroom sauce was delicious. My Dad loved his prime rib too.

Waitstaff was very kind and on point with service. I'll definitely be back to try the ribs I remember from childhood.

This place oozes the sweet essence of rich mahogany and fine leather. The chef could turn roadkill into a Michelin Star-worthy meal. Between the appetizer salmon and the key lime pie at the end, my heart & stomach were treated to pure happiness. Great job by all the staff in making my dream meal a reality for me and my friends.

Great service, warm, cozy atmosphere, and consistently well-prepared menu items. You won't find anything to challenge your palette here, but everything you will find will be tasty with no surprises. The service is outstanding and even on a busy night you will not wait long for your food to arrive. Selections center mostly on steaks and sandwiches with fish offerings as well. A decent selection of sides is available also. Try the grilled artichokes - delicious!
