Cafe Java- Austin

What an authentic, genuine, cozy spot for some home felt breakfast. Visiting Austin for the weekend, we happened upon this spot in search specifically of some great coffee- which there are some delicious options for!! Customer service felt genuine, crew looked hard working, environment felt clean and the food.. absolutely fantastic! Tasted like it was straight out of my mommas kitchen, thank you for a great introduction to Austin!!

Great breakfast spot with a warm homey feel. The service here is OUTSTANDING! Tracy is phenomenal and super attentive. The whole staff is very friendly and welcoming, which is why I love coming here so much.

Shocked that they have such good reviews. The woman up front when we picked up our to-go order was rude over the phone and in person. The food itself was the most mediocre food as well. We ordered 2 omelettes and 1 order of French toast. The French toast and the toast on the side of the omelettes were honestly the worst restaurant toast I've ever had. It was thin, soggy ish, and just looked sad. It reminded me of toast I had as a child when we bought the cheapest possible loaf of bread and tried to make the most of it. The California omelette was pretty disgusting. It looked like it had cheese sauce in the center as well as a heap of sprouts that did not look or taste good. I basically had to take all of the filling out of the omelette to make it edible. The hash browns were not crispy at all and tasted bland. Would definitely not return.

Great place. Delicious food. Friendly and comical staff

This is one of my favorite places to eat. Great food, good prices and portions. Service is very friendly and the place gives off a nice vibe with all the art and decorations.
