Small cafe in historic home serving fresh, creative sandwiches and homemade soups. Seating indoors and out in a garden courtyard area.
My experience was just good, I mean the service is good, the taste of the food is good but for me is kind of pricey. The price did not concur with the portion size you would expect. (I.e. not enough food)
The ham & egg breakfast sandwich was excellent. The only hiccup the I had to wait a bit too long for my online order...about 10 minutes. The ambient esthetic looked really nice...a little gem on the neighborhood. I will be back again.
I depend on reviews so I try to always write one or many. Help the businesses that feed us! As for Foodheads, it was an easy review pick... it was absolutely wonderful! I had the tomato and coconut soup and the chicken and eggplant sandwich. This is a great place with a variety of food options, but I think the traditional favorites are wonderful. It's quaint and very much has the Austin feel that we all LOVE!
We were in town for a quick mother daughter weekend. We planned on eating at snooze am eatery but the wait was too long so we left. I'm so glad we did and found this place. We didn't have to wait, there was ample seating outside and the customer service was excellent. We were offered information about the menu and our food was prepared quickly. If you're going for breakfast give "The Don" a try. Quality ingredients and super tasty. Will probably return sometime this weekend to try something else.
