Great food and atmosphere. This spot is a sentimental place for us, so we decided to visit with more company. I wasn't hungry but their lobster tacos were delicious ????????
They host the ground floor separately from roodtop and you can wait about 20minutes at the bar for a table. The service was friendly and accommodating

Gotta say, I was surprised. Food and service was on point for a Friday night. Only about a 5 minute wait in fact. Fajitas came out fresh. The waiter even talked about how they get their tortilla chips locally. Perfect for my overnight stay in Austin. Would recommend for someone looking for a somewhat quieter 6th street restaurant with a good dinner food selection. Good for kids. Definitely go if possible.

Overall I felt the experience was average nothing special about this place. Our waitress was professional and friendly. The shrimp tacos presentation was spot on but the shrimp was cold and tasted like seafood which is not a good sign in the culinary arts realm. The fresh guacamole is also made with a mixture of orange juice not sure why but that’s not authentic. This place is in a good location plenty of alcoholics and it’s cheap enough to keep business booming.

The greatest Mexican restaurant in Texas! Always great food and atmosphere, that evolves with Austin. Met my wife there in the 90’s, and 20 years later, their awesome owners sent us a ton of Iron Cactus swag to celebrate. Amazing people! Amazing Margaritas! Amazing Location!
