KG BBQ

Man, I think this new wave of BBQ is really the golden age! I haven't seen lamb offered as a bbq item before, and my goodness have we been missing out! Especially those lamb bacon ribs...do not sleep on those! My partner who usually doesn't like fatty meat (crazy, I know) loved loved loved them because the flavor was just so fantastic. Very high quality meats, you can tell! And as I was waiting for my order to come out, I was hit by massive food envy for not also ordering one of those brisket bowls cos they looked so good (especially with all those toppings...the Egyptians know how to do rice right!).

Can’t recommend KGBBQ enough! Holy smokes does Kareem whip up the best brisket and lamb and maybe I’m partial because I’m middle eastern but I’m obsessed with the tastes of pomegranates, turmeric, nuts, rose and other delicious notes that he incorporates into his dishes to elevate the flavors and deliver one tasty meal. You must go visit Kareem and tell him Shayda sent you!

KGBBQ is one of the best barbecues I’ve ever had. Chef Kareem is incredibly talented and every dish he makes is executed perfectly and always tastes amazing! I love how he combines Mediterranean and BBQ flavors making his dishes unique and delicious. KGBBQ is a barbecue I would recommend to 10,15+ people and would always be coming back for more!

This place is incredible! I almost don’t want to post this because I want to keep them to myself. The best way I can describe it is some of the best Texas barbecue you will find anywhere, period - and the fusion piece works perfectly without taking away any of the aspects of traditional Texas barbecue. Everything is delicious from the BBQ down to the sides. I’m a native Texan, BBQ enthusiast and a tough customer. If you are looking for the next up-and-coming hidden gem, you found your place.

Amazing BBQ and a variety of dishes! The food was soo addicting I’ve ordered multiple times. My favorites are the rice & the short ribs and the rice pudding of course. So glad to get to know Kareem! Amazing chef, great food and I’m so happy there’s such a mixture of western and Egyptian food. Amazingly done. Hands down one of my top favorite eats in Austin!
