We stumbled on this place by accident and boy am I glad we did. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing; really makes you feel like your on vacation. The staff is friendly and welcoming. And the food! They have a salsa bar with tamarind salsa! We got the street tacos, chicken fajita and fish for me, and they were 10/10. Everything about this place was awesome. Can't wait for it to get warmer so I can sit on the patio.

As an Austinite & local Austin Realtor, I love sharing food with friends, clients & family. I recently visited Polvo’s, just outside of Barton Creek Mall. They did not disappoint! Everything was cooked to perfection and the drinks were amazing! We tried the ceviche, street tacos & Paloma. Oh, and don’t forget the queso! Needless to say, even though 2 of us shared these plates, we each had food to take home. You must stop by!

Great spot for every occasion. This particular location is in a great spot. The restaurant is big with plenty of parking. The architecture of the building is stunning and makes it look expensive, but it's not. The only service failure they have is their bar. It was slow and always behind, at least while I was there (Wednesday night). The food is great; salsa bar is the best thing they have. More than 6 different salsas to taste, and you can have as much as you want. The plates are spectacular and well plated, and the portions are big. Flavor is definitely there. If you like Chile rellenos, then you should try theirs, very unique. Everything I tried was good and flavorful; Rellenos, street tacos, chile con carne, and asado puerco. Price was just what I expected. The average plate is about $20-25$ so you will end up spending about $50+ per person with drinks. I ordered tacos and 3 cocktail drinks. Overall true authentic mexican food, presentation and atmosphere. Will be back again soon. For the record, I would've given them 5 start but the bar was slower than usual. Server was great!

We had a delightful lunch at Polvo's. The only thing I didn't care for was how spicy hot my enchiladas were. Everything else was great. I love when restaurants have nice silverware! Take a look!
