Sammie's Italian

I was not expecting such an upscale dining experience. Reminiscent of The Palm. Fantastic wine room. Great waitstaff. They had a very jazz trio playing. Fridays at lunch they do a burger as a nod to Huts. Food was all delicious and the deserts lovely. It’s relatively pricy with most things between $20 and $40. It’s worth noting that the flour they use for pasta is an ancient grain with much less gluten content making it suitable even for people with minor gluten sensitivity like my mom.

Best meal we had while we were in Austin. High level Italian food with the service to match. We had a really good time with our server who looked like Jeffrey Donovan from the old TV series Burn Notice.

Delicious food. Good portions. Great atmosphere. Delicious cocktails, wine and desserts. Fantastic service.

Super cozy, old school feeling Italian! A friend and I popped in last Thursday for cocktails and dessert, and they nicely fit us in, and it was a great experience. Great cocktails and dessert (tiramisu). I did want to give a special shout out to Chase our server! He was very attentive, and when we accidentally left our card at the table, he ran 2 blocks in the cold to make sure we had it! Very much appreciated! Check it out!

Had an amazing first time at Sammy’s. Mr. Travis is the bomb and made the experience so memorable. Would definitely recommend sitting at the bar and having him as your server. Food was fantastic as well!!!
