Stumbled upon this place on my sister’s birthday and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The ambiance and minimalistic style of the place was very unique, and the owner served us, explaining all of the menu items for my family. Great vegan options that my carnivore parents loved. The drinks were unique as well and the bartender made my sister a custom shot that was unlike anything I’ve tried before. Will definitely be back with friends. Felt like a very upscale experience for the price.
My husband and I really liked it! The staff are very attentive and professional. They even noticed that I did not drink the cocktail and offered to replace it, although I did not ask. And the ramen is the best in Austin so far! I am very glad that Sazan ramen has opened.
I'm so happy to have more Ramen options in town - though this one will probably be the only one I go to from now on. I ordered takeout, but the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The staff was genuinely friendly and the food was EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD. The Ma-Yu ramen was the garlic jackpot and the ATX Kakiage was perfect. I will definitely be back.
Let's talk GARLIC.
Often I have visited ramen shops hoping to be blown away by deep, yummy garlicy flavor. So many times have I been left wanting more.
Not today, friend. The Ma-Yu ramen has my number and I'm on her speed dial. This broth is so pungent, so good. If I had this ramen before going to vote, any vampire working at the polling place would smell the garlic on my breathe through my mask and immediately go into a coma.
The ATX Kakiage was also wonderful and the staff were very nice.
Overall a great and authentic experience, comparable to some of the best ramen places I’ve been to in Tokyo and NYC. We had the spicy Paitan and black garlic. The noodles are firm, the base is flavorful but not too heavy as to overpower the ingredients. Will be back to try the other bases.
