Takoba

To say Takoba has THE BEST MICHELADA IN AUSTIN does not say enough. Every time I go to Takoba I get the best service I’ve ever received. Either a family owns this place or they take such great care of their people that they have a limitless passion for client service. I should have written this review long ago; my boyfriend and I go to Takoba often and are never ever disappointed. Takoba also has the best Mexican Martini in the city and I do not take that point lightly. I scour the city of Austin for a better version and none exists. I’m so happy they came back after the renovation sabbatical. Both me, my boyfriend and my best friend (Murphy, boxer bulldog, 10 years today) have never received better service from any Austin establishment than Takoba. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Thank you, Takoba.

This place is fantastic. Delicious food and great drinks. Would definitely recommend checking it out if you're on the East side. The ceviche was delightful.

We had the queso as an appetizer with homemade corn tortillas which was a great way to start the meal. I had the 1/2 pound of pastor which was excellent! Quick service and free parking lot around the corner. Highly recommended!

Service was very helpful, and knowledgeable. Drinks were good. Food was even better. The special salad was creative and lovely. The yucca was cooked perfectly. And my modified veggie chili relleno was really good, and much appreciated.

I like this iteration better than the last, for sure.

Absolutely great management and caring staff. Takoba has recently upgraded with a Venezuelan chef with all new south American inspired dishes! Steak and Chicken are tender and each dish has a special decorative amour to it! They even place edible flowers on their state of the art home baked cakes! Flavorful as well as a happy work environment for their staff, you cannot go wrong here. Pricing is good too, not to exceed $13 for most dishes.
