Yamas Greek Restaurant

Excellent service and atmosphere.

We came here for Thanksgiving dinner and the food was good, but the scallops were too salty and I was hoping the beef pasta would have more seasoning. The vegetarian pasta and hummus sampler were great.

Yamas Greek Restaurant provides an immersive and delicious culinary trip to the Mediterranean right in the heart of Austin. From the moment you step inside, you feel transported to a Greek island with the blue and white decor, hanging plants, and even Greek music playing.

The drink menu is full of unexpected Greek spirits and wines you won't find elsewhere.

While some dishes were hits, a couple could have used refinement. I'd absolutely recommend Yamas for a taste of the Mediterranean right in the heart of Austin. Between the Greek spirits, lively ambiance, and classic comforting dishes, it's a fun culinary adventure.

Really quaint little restaurant, very nicely decorated. The staff is well versed on the menu and will help select wines for you. We ordered calamari, a white fish called Breem and lamb chops that came with potatoes. Food was delicious. The fish was fresh and lamb was tender, however it was a bit pink on some pieces as medium was recommended. That was probably my only issue with the food. There wasn't a desert menu, not sure if they were too busy or there are no desserts, was looking forward to trying out some of the Mediterranean specialty desserts.

I’m sitting here now, the server is pleasant and sweet, very kind.
The owner is authentic Greek which is always a good thing.
The food is delicious, very authentic ( I’ve been to Greece many many times)

Great service by the entire friendly staff! The atmosphere was fun & colorful. Some dishes are definitely better than others. We enjoyed our first experience here family style. The table was disappointed with the lack of selection for dessert. Overall I would dine again here.
