Mandola's Italian

I love their eggplant parmesan and their gelato, but was underwhelmed by their Monday special. The chicken was very thickly breaded and the pasta was rather flavorless. Their fresh bread is delicious dipped in the herbs and olive oil. I just wish I'd ordered something different today.

I ordered online about 5 PM. We live about 15 minutes away. The order was to be ready at 5:27, and my husband was there. He paid, he even tipped them for take out. But then they could not find our food. The order had gone through, they made it, but it was gone. They thought perhaps their delivery driver took off with it. So after about 15 minutes of looking, they started making it again. My husband gets very annoyed at delays, he’s always in a hurry, and everyone at home and picking the food up was really hungry. So after close to an extra HOUR past the original time, they had our food ready with some free bread. My daughter likes Italian when she is in town and we are all too tired to cook, so she was happy. My pizza was on the greasy side, but a lot of people like it that way.

Great option for family dining. Order at counter and seat yourself. Fresh bread and food are brought to your table. Prices are decent and food is kid-friendly. We love the Dirty Pig sandwich (my husband and I can split it and be satisfied). Gelato is great! Playground nearby lets the kids run off the sugar!

Ordered in during lunch rush and got my food in under 15 minutes. Free bread and dipping oil provided at the table. Shrimp scampi special was smaller than expected but very tasty. Menu was generally leaning toward the expensive side. Atmosphere was relaxed, and service friendly. Overall a pleasant, if not slightly pricey, experience.

First time visiting today. Was surprised and a little disappointed it ran like a dairy queen in the sense that you order up front, then take a number and sit for your food. Not that it's a terrible set up but I was hoping to sit down and take a minute to look at the menu. More importantly, the food was real good. I had the pizza and was blown away by the crust. It was light and crispy and airy. Very good. Honestly though, my favorite part was the bathroom. I say this because it smelled very clean and fresh and was genuinely clean. More importantly though was the full on changing table for babies completely stocked. Mind you this is in the men's restroom as well. I have never seen this before anywhere and it really was amazing to know they actually care for even dads and their kids. Well done.
