Bush’s Chicken

This new location is doing it right! Quick and friendly service, and of course yummy chicken. Don't forget the sweet tea!

My family and I decided to give the new Bush's Chicken location between Hutto and Pflugerville a try today. Having eaten at other locations in Texas I was expecting it to just be average, but it was better than expected. We got "carryout" instead of eating in or using the drive-thru. The service was friendly despite being busy with their drive-thru. The chicken was fresh and juicy. The rolls were light and fluffy. Our side of corn on the cob was hot and fresh. The side of cold slaw was the only disappointment. While fresh it was lacking in taste compared to their local competition. Overall though our meal was good and we eating there again. Oh! They currently have a catfish special on Fridays and a chicken gizzard special on Mondays.

Chicken was a little too hot. And was dry compared to other Bush's locations. The were packed and maybe had cooked too much too soon and left it under the heat lamp too long. We love Bush's so we will give this location another chance as it does best driving out to the location on RM620 for some chicken. They need to have someone come through with a large magnet though I picked up like 20 roofing or siding staples from their construction all around the area I parked in.

Been waiting for this location to open up near the house. Well worth the wait as it officially opened up this weekend. Staff friendly, great food and the sweet tea awesome as always.
