“I can to only give this one a three. the one I went to wasn't very clean at all. it was very hard to get in and out because of how small the corner they have the store on is, plus there's only like for parking spaces. their prices were a little bit higher than some of the Dairy Queen's I've been to and our hamburgers were not cooked, mine was almost raw. I have friends that say it's not the norm for their so I did give them a 3 because the french fries were okay and the shake was good. from what I could tell the manager really wasn't paying attention well. so who knows maybe they had a bad day but with this visit I can only them a 3. they could be a lot cleaner. the way it's set up could be a lot more organized, and the manager could definitely work on managing better”

“A diamond in the rough. Nothing fancy, you will not see garnish here, but the prices are good, the food seemed fresh, and the service was fine. I got a chicken fried steak half portion..It was rather large for a half. The sausage gravy was excellent. I had fried oysters, they were fresh and tasted great. Fried shrimp, excellent. Sirloin was done perfectly, not chewy, and nicely seasoned. If you're not from around here, check Google maps to leave the restaurant...trust me.”

“Met my son there today ,the place was packed as the Zetas were having a 90s reunion party. Still no problem getting seated and we had the most awesome waitress (Hannah) when you go be sure and sit in her section. Crawfish was excellent and my wife had fish tacos Great food great atmosphere great service great prices. We will eat there again when we come down that way.”

“EXCELLENT food that actually has a little spice to it. The menu is extremely large with many options. They are accommodating to make changes to items, i.e.,leave cheese off, substitutions, etc. Food is affordable and drinks are very good. The staff absolutely ROCKS and service is top notch. There are several Mexican food restaurants in the area which are good but this was very, very good. EDGAR is an awesome server and I will request him on my next visit.”

“Pretty expensive but choices in New Waverly are few so we have tried Dickey’s several times. We like the regular sausage, bar-b-que beans, green beans and okra. Today I wanted to try the ribs and they were out so I thought I’d try the brisket. It was not good. Very dry and it was not cut against the grain so it was just long strings of meat. I waited 10 minutes on the okra because the Taco Corner was using the fryer. The wait staff is usually nice but training is severely lacking. About a week ago we went in and ordered sausage but a man was there wanting brisket and they were out.”
