“I ate here with my parents this weekend, and it was great! I had the mixed grill (steak and shrimp) and it was phenomenal. The steak had the consistency of prime rib, and the shrimp was served with small dollops of what seemed like a Cajun-inspired butter with just a little `heat'. My only complaints (and they are pretty minor): The vegetables were a little overdone, but still good-- I just like a little more firmness personally. I'm glad the beef was so tender, because the steak knife I had could have used a stropping. And I understand dealing with distributers is not everyone's cup of tea, but having a local beer like Shiner available would be a nice touch. I loved the building (1880's Mercantile if memory serves), and don't mind at all they don't take credit cards. Me and my family will definitely be back for more!”

“Best sweet tea I’ve probably ever had. Roasted chicken was good. The beans it was served with were very good as well. Would have been nice with some mashed potatoes. I could eat the fried ravioli with pesto sauce as a sport. They were incredible. The owner came to my business and bought some gift cards. I didn’t see him at the restaurant but when I met him he was very friendly. I will be back for sure.”
