Courteous and attentive staff. Went here on Sunday for lunch between 1 and 2pm. Not too crowded. Was promptly seated and order taken. Food arrived and was piping hot and delicious. Good portions . Authentic tamilnadu cuisine and an alternative to Sangam. The wait staff were attentive and refilled our condiments. Must try if you are hankering for good south Indian food.
Love the food over here everytime.
The service is fast, quality of food and taste is very good. One of the recommended options to dine-in with family in Austin.

Hooray good news for all foodies... we have a new authentic Indian restaurant opened near Manpasanth store off US 183.
This is a onestop for all South Indian cuisine. Staffs are so friendly and all the dishes will blow your mind out.
Must try items : Bhai Kadai Biriyani, Boneless Nandu Masala, Tandoori Pormfret and Jigardanda. vegetarian options are less but can try Ambur Veg Biryani.
Excellent New Indian Restaurant!
We went for lunch at Madurai Mes Express on US 183, Austin, near Manpasanth, the Indian grocery store. Apparently the restaurant opened only a couple of days ago.
There were only a few customers at that time. The restaurant was clean and staff quite friendly.
The menu is fairly extensive with vegetarian and no vegetarian dishes to choose from.
We had chicken pepper fry as appetizer. It was spicy and tasted great !
Had Hydrabadi Chicken Dum Biriyani and chicken Kochu parota as main courses.
The portions were too large for us to finish. ( took them as carry out).
Overall very good and will go there again.
Chandrika, who took care of us was very helpful.
Went for lunch today. Waited for 30+ minutes. The service was slow which seemed to be the reason for higher wait time. This restaurant has an open kitchen which creates more heat in the restaurant in addition to the 100F+ heat outside. It was very crowded and extremely noisy from the crowd and open kitchen with vessel noises. If you’re looking for ambient dining, this isnt the place. The menu and atmosphere is very similar to Kumars (austin) and Kupanna (plano). We got ambur veg biriyani, expected seeraga samba rice but it was basmati. Also got egg kothu parota, which was good but not as good as Kumars or Sangam.
The waiters are trying their best to handle the crowd. But the water tumblers, table and floor below the table were not clean. Food spillage everywhere. The toilets were also not clean.
It was decent dining experience but may not return here when its crowded
We also got meeta paan and some anjeer sweet from the billing desk. There were only 5pcs of sweet, but was charged at $8.99 which seemed overpriced. Sweet tasted good though.
