We went at 8:30pm Friday night to celebrate a birthday as a family after a busy evening of school events. The food and service was excellent however we were a little disappointed when we found out the close at 9pm on Friday and while eating the remaining staff was cleaning vacuuming and prepping to leave (even though we were not the only table still in the dining room)
I think 10 pm would be a more acceptable close time on Friday and staff should refrain from vacuuming while guest are eating as it caused us to feel rushed and not enjoy our food and time as much. And the food was really excellent, we had hoped to take out time more. But we will be back to try again
Hope to improve my rating next time!
We went for an early Father's Day dinner this evening and it was such a pleasant experience! The cocktails were amazing, the food was superb and the service was very amiable! The owner/manager (I am assuming) made sure to come by the table several times, which was a personal touch. I would highly recommend this place to everyone who wants good food with a matching atmosphere! We will definitely be back!
Delicious! The new restaurant that took over did a great job of revamping the menu and tidying up the place. Even the bathrooms are very nice and tidy! Only downside on the vibes are tables and chairs feel like you’re at a banquet hall or something, so not the cutest vibes but that is okay bc the food was amazing. We had the summer pasta and the pepperoni/sausage pizza and the cheesesticks. All 5 star quality. Especially the pizza and cheese sticks. The free bread basket was a nice add too as we waited for our food. Will be back!
We decided to try out Tuscano after our neighbor gave it rave reviews. We had a party of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids).
The restaurant was nicely decorated and the bar area looked particularly inviting. Much improved from the previous owner.
The bread was soft and warm and really great. The kids ate an entire basket and asked for another. We had fried zuccini for an appetizer and everyone liked it, was a big portion, enough for 7 people.
I had a side salad which was good and fresh. For dinner we had, lasagna, Brisket bolognese, chicken Piccata and tuscan combo. I would only give my Brisket bolognese a 4 out of 5 because the Brisket was a bit chewy, bummer. It did have good flavor though. Everyone else liked their food. It came really hot! The kids had cheese pizza, chicken strips and fettuccine Alfredo. The pizza was REALLY good!!! I was jealous I didn't order it. The chicken strips were good too, not dry and had alot of chicken in them instead of many places having all batter. Everything was very reasonably priced too.
I'd come back but would enjoy pizza and wine in the inviting bar area. Oh and bread, loved the bread!
One of our favorite Italian restaurant in Austin. Everything we tried was amazing, new management is very good. They have variety of food and drinks. Vegetarian options are nice. Highly recommend this restaurant for good food n great vibe.
