The Golden Rule

Excellent menu drinks. Genuine adaptations and great new mixes. The bar staff was happy to make simple modifications, i.e. cranberry juice, when requested. Snacks and meals are also available. Now that the Texas summer heat has subsided, patio seating beneath large fans is a pleasure.

They have a great whiskey selection, well-curated menu; and my favorite thing interesting the world, tiki drinks!

A bit pricey but the few menu items they do offer are extremely tasty. Try the Brussels Sprouts for sure. Nice outdoor seating area. You'd be wise to make a reservation.

The Golden Rule is a new, hip bar and restaurant in Georgetown, just what the city was needing. There is a great outdoor patio and a good amount of space inside. The tables are already spaced in little rooms which allow for more privacy. Great bar selections and you don’t need to purchase food to get a good drink. It was nice grabbing a drink with a friend, haven’t done that in a bit! Overall, fun and relaxing place. I went on a Friday afternoon and it was pretty busy. You can make reservations online so do that before you go.

Great craft cocktails, love the atmosphere and vibe. I met a friend for cocktails and dinner. We sat at the bar and chatted with the friendly bartenders as they were busily making drinks. They were quite knowledgeable about the cocktails and food with recommendations that did not disappoint. We tried several appetizers... the amazing fried shrimp, deviled eggs three ways and the spicy Thai wings (a special that night). All three were tasty and would order them all again! Can’t wait to visit the Golden Rule again soon.
