The planet burger with mashed potatoes was really good. We also had the vegetarian enchiladas. Both were a taste explosion and a celebration for our taste buds. It's definitely on my places to stop at next time we are in the area. Now for dessert! Key lime pie and peach cobbler!!! Yum!!!
What a great atmosphere to serve delicious food in. Ordered the special which I never do and I was very pleasantly surprised. Well executed and interesting flavor profile that I couldn't make at home.
Also witnessed just the kind of gorgeous steaks you'd expect from a restaurant served by Utah's cattle country.
Wait staff was wonderfully friendly and efficient.
Even the house salad was beautifully arranged and delicious.
Just so you know I'm not a plant, I ordered a beer on a warm night and I truly wished it had been ice cold instead of just cold. I wanted to eat there a few times passing through town. I'm really glad I made the effort to target this restaurant right away this time. Definitely worth the stop.
The Rocking V is a super place to eat. The menu and food quality are always top notch. I have been eating in this restaurant for the past 6 years. It is always our first choice when visiting Kanab. The staff are helpful and friendly and Victor is a wealth of knowledge regarding the local area. Don’t be surprised if you have wait for a table, its always busy but definitely worth the wait.
04/01/2021 Update
This should have been another 5 star experience. The food and service are all still excellent. HOWEVER, The Rocking V has started allowing dogs inside the restaurant. During our last visit there where dogs with paws on the table and sniffing at plates, these same dogs where loose wandering around going from table to table. This is unacceptable. Dogs outside on the patio is great, inside is a no go.
Great dinner! Great atmosphere! We had two different vegetarian dishes: the Southwest Salad and the Enchiladas. The salad had a great portion of tofu and was perfect as a main! We also had the tomato soup which was delicious. The staff was super welcoming and even made me a jalapeño margarita that wasn’t on the menu after I asked (although it should be, it was so good!). A must stop in Southern Utah!
We stopped at this little cafe on the way to Zion (from Bryce) to get coffee but stopped to check out the lovely artworks (on sale!) and got a couple cute prints! The owner was a very cheerful and nice person and we loved the artworks of his dogs getting into all kinds of shenanigans! Absolutely appreciated this place which provided a nice respite from the mundane drive and served as a good way to appreciate the southwest culture and arts !
