Great food and environment. Service was standard but prices were extremely high. Food was above average but didn't warrant the price delta. I can eat at Willow Creek country club for a fraction of the price and get food that's just as good. Would be good for a special occasion but not sure that I would go back for a typical weekend dining experience. If price isn't an issue then it's definitely worth going to.

This was not only a great choice for food, but for the experience. We loved the outdoor seating and the relaxed feeling. Staff was great! I think part of the experience is to enjoy the atmosphere and the company you are with and the staff won’t rush you.

The cheese platter was delicious and the flavors blended very well. We got the Charleston Eggs Benedict and the Avocado Toast - seasoning and taste was delicious!

The owner/chef at The Charleston is such a kind man who cares about having the best service. The staff is lovely and did a wonderful job serving us. The menu has a diverse selection of meals and the food is immaculate! The atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful too. It has such beautiful places to sit inside and out. I would highly recommend the Charleston.

The outdoor ambiance is perfect for a relaxed early dinner or a twilight date. Although I loved most of the food (especially the Halibut special and chocolate coffee cake) and I could sense the complex palate the chef construed with care, the disappointing service left the biggest impression. We waited on the hot patio for more than ten minutes to place a drink order, and a few more minutes for water. We waited about ten minutes each time we needed our server. Although she was extremely charming and professional while she was available, it did make the dinner drag on and on. I wondered if it was COVID-19 related, but I'm guessing they just accepted too many reservations.

Another minor annoyance was that they turned off the music because a pianist was playing on the other side of the building apparently. We couldn't hear it, so without the music, all we could hear was the street traffic. All in all, not worth the $186 with tip for my mom and I. I'll probably try it again when we're not mid-apocalypse. I'm averaging five stars for the chef and three for the service.
