Charlotte-Rose's Carolina BBQ

I moved from South Carolina 5 years ago and have tried every place in the state of Utah claiming they have Southern food but not a single one of them comes close until now!

This is as good or better than anything you can get anywhere in the Carolinas and I've most likely tried most of the best places there too.

I try to tell people here in Utah how much better the food is there because they don't think about being healthy, or a beautiful presentation. All they care about is love. They cook to make you absolutely love what you are eating!

The mac and cheese is EXACTLY like what you'd get in the south so you can't come here without having it! It's life changing kind of stuff if all you've had is what they attempt to call mac and cheese at other places in Utah. The BBQ could use more smokey flavor and the sweet tea could be fresher are my only suggestions for them to be truly authentic.

I'm sure there are other Southern transplants that constantly feel disappointed by most restaurants west of the Rocky's but if you miss the taste of home like I did, I can assure you that you won't be disappointed here. I plan to spread the word about this place to everyone I meet here from the South and I'm sure you will too once you try this place.

Some of the best BBQ I’ve had. It is a locally owned restaurant. I had the Redneck Brisket tacos and they were delicious. I loved the Mac n cheese so much that I ended up eating my wife’s Mac n cheese as well. Cornbread was also amazing. We will for sure be coming back. This place gets my two thumbs up.

Service was fast and friendly. The sides were great. Loved the coleslaw, mac and cheese and the sweet potato casserole. Only thing I want a fan of was charging per choice of bbq sauce.

Ordered online and got some amazing takeout from Charlotte-Rose’s tonight. We had ribs, pulled pork, brisket, Mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, red skinned mashed potatoes, and creamed corn, and of course cobbler and banana pudding. Everything was superb! It’s the best BBQ I’ve had since I lived in the South: moist, great flavor and texture, fall-off-the-bone, and tasty sauces to accent. All the sides were so great, including the cornbread, which has been an issue with other local BBQ places. We will definitely be back!

I just tried this place today, it was amazing. I cannot wait to go back. I really loved the 2 sauces we got with our lunch. I had mashed potatoes and the brisket sandwich. My BF had the mac and cheese and the pulled pork. I will definitely be getting the mac and cheese next time! Just LOVELY! And the curbside pickup was a really nice option too. Thanks for keeping us fed
