I was so excited when I found Avgolemono soup in my area since moving from So Cal to West Jordan, Utah. But once I got the soup home I was a bit disappointed. Soup is not what I expected. I get different restaurants make it differently but this was nothing like I was hoping. No seasoning to be seen and very little chicken and rice. Although the onion rings were good, those were more of an impulse purchase but they were good and made from scratch.

There just wasn't a lot of flavor. We tried a gyro, souvlaki, the fried veggies (which the menu didn't mention that they were deep fried!), their fries, rice, grape leaves and doughnuts.
Our favorite were the grape leaf rolls. Everything else didn't have much salt or seasoning. It was edible but not exciting. Not the experience we were looking for.

We tried The Greek Souvlaki for the first time just the other day. The gyro, chicken & pork souvlaki, baklava, rice pudding, etc. were all delicious, but our very favorites were the spinach pie and the Greek spaghetti. The cinnamon in the spaghetti made it sooo warm and flavorful! And the spinach pie was perfectly flakey without being dry.

We were actually the only people in the restaurant, but it was extremely clean and bright, I always appreciate a Coke Freestyle machine, and the staff was friendly and really sweet to our spirited (aka wild) kids. We'll definitely be back!

This was the first time I came here but it won’t be the last. We each got gyros, pita dip platter, and the Greek honey donuts. Serving sizes were large, the food was excellent, service and speed were awesome and the restaurant was clean. Can’t ask for any more than that.
