Gurkhas - Indian And Nepali Cuisine

Gurkhas is a terrific restaurant for Indian food. The owner and staff are very friendly, every dish I have tried has been wonderful, and the service and food have also been consistently great. This restaurant started as a new restaurant to try, then it became my favorite Indian food in Utah, and then my favorite restaurant in Utah - period! Not a fancy restaurant, but nicely decorated, very clean, and well taken care of by the staff. Was a go-to for our family dining out, and now with the pandemic, we pick up "to go" food on a regular basis - we want this restaurant to be with us after the pandemic is over :)

This restaurant is a true gem. My wife and I really enjoyed the atmosphere on our anniversary. The waiter was very gracious and knowledge of the menu and provided good suggestions on what items we may like. We recommend our friends to go here for good food and a good service. I wish during this time that we could go there, but as soon as it is possible we will return to dine here again.

We tried Gurkhas and will definitely be back! You can either dine in or take out (we did the take out). We called the order in and I left immediately and didn't have to wait long at the restaurant for the order to be ready. The food was fresh, warm, and very good. My wife (who is well-versed with Indian food) says this is some of the best Indian she has had. She also likes spice with her food and said this spice was really good and made her sweat a little. Since this was our first time, we went mild with everything and had them add the stuff with a kick on the side. This worked well because we have two young girls. They both absolutely LOVED the chicken and naan. Overall, we really enjoyed the food and will definitely be back.

I went to this place twice for the lunch buffet. Both the time i was pleased with the taste and ambiance. In my experience, most of the time, in most of the restaurant buffet doesn’t taste good. But the they had different story here. Food were fresh and delicious. Manager and the other staffs very generous too. Bottom line, live this place and will go back again and again.

It's a decent Indian/Nepali restaurant. I found the serving size to be quite good. The servers make you feel welcome too!
I'm taking off two stars because I felt the food was just 'ok' and the spice level I wanted was not reflected in the making.
