Wallabys Smokehouse

I wanted to get some BBQ for my family and Wallaby’s was a great choice! I was able to call in my order and do curbside pickup. The amount of food for the price I paid was great at if filled up my family. The customer service was great and I got my food pretty quickly.

My daughter and son in law were visiting from out of town, being from a later time zone, they needed a late dinner. We decided to give Wallaby’s a try.
The food is absolutely amazing and had we chose take out, hands down I would have given it 5 stars. We each ordered different menu items so we could sample various dishes. They were all rich and savory and amazing.

4 star rating notes when deciding to dine in:

1) bring your own silverware. Especially a steak knives. We were served with plastic forks and were told they ran out of knives.
To be fair the COVID guidelines are mucky. However, I have not really seen that many restaurants resort to plastic flatware and found it surprising with menu items likely requiring steak knives.

2) Arrive for dinner well before closing time. I checked the hours and saw that they are open until 9:00 so we arrived at 8:00, were served at 8:20 and at 8:40 the workers started “closing” the lobby by turning off the televisions. I felt like we were being rushed through our meal.

Again, great food. But I most likely will only use take out and won’t bring out of town guests inside the restaurant.

Curbside pickup was so easy and the gentlemen who helped me was so helpful! The food was hot and delicious! I’d recommend the smashers (loaded, of course) and the Honey Habanero Pork! My mouth is watering thinking about those. I can’t wait until I can go back!

Believe me when I say this was incredible mouthwatering food. We got the Monday Sanger Lunch Special and ???. My husband got the BBQ pork one, I got the turkey one and both were incredible in their own way! His was classic and a little bit more saucy and moist, mine was sturdy and had different layers of texture with the bacon, cheese, sauce, and turkey ????. We got house salads, Mac and cheese, and chips for our sides. It was SPOT ON. The fries are seasoned to perfection and come with a delicious dipping sauce. The salads are delicious with spring mix instead of iceberg lettuce.

The mother off the meal was the giant cinnamon roll we got to top it off!! It was larger than life in size and taste. Perfection.

Everything was absolutely delicious! The staff was well informed on what was gluten free which we very much appreciate. We ordered to-go though we would have stayed had we known they were open and planned ahead. The restaurant was very clean and the tables were very spaced in response to COVID19. We will be back!
