Yumz Vegan Bakery & Cafe

We came here on a whim because we wanted something sweet and we were on a 30 day vegan challenge. We came for sweets but we ended up trying the empanadas as well. These are the best empanadas we’ve ever had vegan or not. We ended up buying more to take home. That guacamole sauce is liquid gold. The flavor is unmatched. The chocolate tres leche cake was to die for. I wasn’t able to get a picture because it was gone that fast. We aren’t true vegans but we would eat here on a regular basis because the food is that good. The owner Cece is very kind and the service was immaculate. GO EAT HERE, you won’t regret it.

My wife and I have read and heard a lot of hype about Yumz! We decided to try it - the hype is legit. The food was delicious!

We shared the Barria and the enchiladas and saved some room for the lemon lavender mini cake. All delicious. I highly recommend giving it a try. It’s a vegan meal - do yourself a favor and read about the founder and the reasons she started the restaurant- without any experience in the biz. Pretty inspiring story. Either way - the food is truly delicious - try it once and you will see.

Great little lunch find in Salt Lake City if you are looking for something vegan! They have a great selection of Mexican plates to choose from on the menu, as well as a great pastry case! Everything they make is vegan and it all looks and smells delicious! We shared the loaded nachos and a taco (the amount of food that you get is plenty to share!), and shared a puff pastry for dessert! All of it tasted delicious! The service was friendly and quick! If you enjoy Mexican food and are looking for a vegan option, this is a great find!

Best vegan food we’ve ever had!! From LA to Miami to everywhere in Colorado (where we live) Yumz is our absolute favorite!! Visited SLC this last week and of the 5 days we were there, we ate there 4 days. Not to mention still went back on our 5th to get some cakes to take back to Colorado. We tried something different every time and the consistency in outstanding flavor, textures, and service were impeccable. Everyone working there was so lovely and it’s honestly hard to believe it’s all vegan. Our only complaint is we don’t live in SLC to enjoy on a regular basis!! Huge kudos to this amazing establishment and we can’t wait to make another trip to have it again!!
Definitely recommend the fajitas, birria platter, and any of the empanadas! Also don’t forget to get a mini cake, the strawberry and lemon lavender were our favs!
