I stopped in at Patty Shack after driving past multiple times, thinking it was in an off the beaten path location and wondering how it was. I had the BLT with cheese and a fried egg, side of fries. I was SHOCKED and AMAZED at how yummy the BLT with cheese and fried egg was. The fries are the perfect combination of crispy on the outside and still soft and yummy. I am only sad I didn't stop here earlier to give Patty Shack a try.
I was too stuffed to try any of the desserts. They looked good, and the description on the dessert menu was intriguing. I will try to save room for dessert next time I go.
The staff was hilarious and had an enthusiastic mood. There is a variety of seating options for a variety of group sizes, all the way down to seating for 1.
If you are in a 10 mile radius of here, or any radius really, and have a hankering for a burger you must drop by this place. It has a family business vibe and the employees were excellent. Get that egg slapped on your pastrami burger and be your true self.
Patty Shack is the genuine, old-school, mom and pop, classic diner burger joint that is absolutely missing in the salt lake valley! Burgers are a solid 4/5.
You really do get a classic diner vibe with the flavors, the orders, the menu, and the atmosphere. It's very fresh, feels home made every time. Soft bun, lettuce and onion are okay (not a fan of chopped lettuce and diced onions on burger, totally personal preference), but the patty and melted cheese on top are seriously top notch. The beef is amazing quality, insanely fresh tasting, and that's why you go right there. Fries are well fried, you can taste it, and the pastrami on the burger was pretty good, thin, almost a smokey flavor to it. I hope to see them get some house made fry sauce some day and not Le Fleur's 👍
But overall, and to give it the best comparison, It's a better Five Guys and for less money. Great staff here, super upbeat. Bacon cheeseburgers, double patty, no lettuce/onion, can't go wrong. Great burger.
What a great burger joint! The burgers here remind me of Five Guy's in style, but better in basically every way. They are easily customizable, with a ton of topping options. And the staff here were so nice, they made us feel welcome in every way. We'll be back here next time I crave a burger.
