Breakfast sandwiches are awesome, pizza is even better!
Edit: After habitually patronizing this place and recommending it to friends and co-workers over the past year, I am changing from 4 stars to 5! Consistently amazing pizza and subs. This place will keep me happy until I move back to New Jersey.
I've been here twice now. I've tried a salad and two different sandwiches and everything has been amazing! I've yet to try the breakfast, but I have no reason to believe it wouldn't be outstanding as well!
Had a steak breakfast burrito this morning... was amazing. The owner made it for me, and provided excellent service. Going to continue going to this amazing place ?
First off, I really like this place. I really do. My wife craves the breakfast sandwiches, and I love almost everything I've tried. The owner Frank is friendly and conversational, and the food is best when he cooks it himself (which is almost whenever I go). I'd love to see Pazzo Vita thrive.
That all said, it needs help. Decreased patronage seems to have made it non-viable to have enough staff on-hand; often Frank is by himself and seems stressed. The menu selection is way too large. The coffee bar seems abandoned. Display coolers are often full of what seems to be old food. The restaurant itself is only passably clean at best. Orders are sometimes slow. It's clear that hard times and lack of help have made it difficult to keep standards high.
If anything, Pazzo Vita needs badly to be reinvented. Slim down the selection. Get a deep clean and maybe remodel. Focus more on small deli feel instead of trying to maintain a massive multi-prong catering and restaurant operation. Without a change it seems doomed to fail, and I really really don't want to see it go away.
For anyone reading this, please go and go often. The food and service IS good pretty good. Despite the above misgivings, this is a great (if struggling) local business badly in need of some local love.
