Food is always good! But this location in particular does not have the best of service. I dont think there has been one time my order was given to me right. They either put stuff that I didn't want on, forget fries, and in more recent times forgot my daughters fries and my order of cheese curds. They made it seem like such an inconvenience to fix this. As well they NEVER give receipts to me when I come and asked if I had one and when I said I was not given one and one was not in the bag where I still had my food. Staff need better training and orders should be getting doubled checked.
Tried Freddy's for the first time a few days ago and dang... how did I not know about this place? I'm a huge burger and fries kinda guy and this was by far one of the best I've had. Ill be back!!
Original Review: Seems like a nice place. My order was messed up though. One burger, which was meant to be plain, had pickles and the other one was a chicken sandwich. Both were ordered as a double cheeseburger. Stuff happens. I'll give this place another try. I will just have to make sure the items are correct.
EDIT: I just received a handwritten letter from management. They were very professional and friendly and I will gladly change the rating to 5 stars.
Freddy's was okay for a change. The motif of the store is designed to take you back to the days of Bobby socks and poodle skirts. The food is simple and the staff is cordial. The hamburgers are tasty although the patties are very flat (thin) and the overall burger is a bit greasy. (This probably lends to the "tasty" of the burger.) The fries are real "shoestring" fries served with what my wife called "real fry sauce". There is a good selection of fountain drinks and you can top it all off with a cup or cone of soft served frozen custard. The custard was a pleasant change from the standard vanilla ice cream; but, I did feel the custard was priced a bit high at over $2.00 for a single scoop small cone. Also before leaving the store I stopped by the restroom. There was no toilet paper and the cover had been taken off of the paper towel dispenser. People had been taking paper from the dispenser to use in the toilet. Not necessarily the best idea; but, if you need to choose between that or being stranded the dispenser paper might not be the worse choice. Overall I think Freddy's was okay; but, I'm not sure when I'll be back. As a side note - There were pictures up and a little history telling Freddy's story. Basically Freddy was a little older when he started his restaurants. Showing once again that you are never to old to reach for your dreams.
