Only 15 people inside and out at 11:30 on Sunday (10/15/23) and the service was not commensuri with the food, at all. Server(s) looked quite depressed to be there actually and our party got served one time, and waited around for anyone in black shirt for the bill at the end.
Food was fantastic. Service needs a little attention.
Biscuits and gravy are delicious along with the Monte Cristo and pulled pork breakfast burrito with hash browns.
Food came out a few minutes apart not at the same time. Fried chicken was burned and without flavor. Waffle and syrup very bland. Picture showed it would come with fruit but it only came with an orange slice. Biscuit and gravy was good. Pulled pork nachos did not come with cheese. Service was good but food was not what we expected.
Service was good. The girls working were super sweet. Brisket was a little dry and on the cold side, everything else was good. We enjoyed the different sauces. We don’t live super close so I’m not sure if we will be back, but all in all we had a positive experience.
The food was ABSOLUTELY delicious!! My family and I went in for brunch, and it was some of the best brunch we’ve ever had. The atmosphere was great and the place was very clean. Unfortunately, we did not have the best server. Though we understand the service industry is just not for everyone, we did not notice much effort to be just a bit more helpful, polite, or to have a smile on. Would totally go back hoping the service improves.
It is almost time to go to sleep and I am still thinking about lunch! We went yesterday and it was so good and so many choices that we went back today and took more people so we could all order stuff and do it “try a bite” style. We took Mom and she is about as “particular” as you can get. The pulled pork is pretty amazing and yesterday I had decided that was the one for me. Today I had the “Meatup” and now there is a tie because a burger with brisket? Say no more! Sauce is saucy and tangy, 3 options. If you don’t try the FECKING HOT, you haven’t lived. I do love the taste of the smoke AND the meat so I went naked for most of it, and I’d do it again. SIDES: MacNCheese & the warm potato salad are super comfort like yum! The fried green tomatoes and the corn fritters were both a new adventure, both scrumptious.. I only had so much stomach real estate left so I saved the beans for last and they were still nice and warm, I decided after one bite it (THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD). A bite of Key Lime pie was not enough for the 5 of us so we got a whole one so here I am just walking around with a fork and taking little bites every time I pass the fridge.. Shameless! Finding balance of the smoke to meat flavor ratio is not easy (Back yard smoker warriors, you know it’s true) and then you add lots of DIFFERENT side options (that didn’t come from a freezer) oh Utah carnivores, we finally have BBQ NIRVANA! ***update*** we celebrated a Birthday last night at the Meat Hook the food was amazing as usual and the view of the awesome sunset from that Patio was incredible!
