Original review 2018: They have the best egg drop soup ever! I've eaten at many Chinese Restaurants in Salt Lake City the past 38 years & Golden Sea has the best!

The food is great so is the service, they are very quick getting your food out to you. I highly recommend giving them a try we order there for work meetings a lot and just for lunches. They use to have dine in before covid hit hoping they reopen that part soon their buffet was great.

Good food. Service was amazing. Will be going again soon, I'm sure.

I really wanted to give this place five stars. I loved the walnut shrimp the best, but all of the dishes were great with only one exception - several in our party noticed that the crunchy noodles in the chow mein were super stale! I've only heard good things about this place, so I'll definitely give it another try next time I'm in town. The lunch buffet is supposed to be really good. The host and servers were wonderful.

Delicious Chinese food. The buffet for lunch doesn't have a huge selection, but what is there is fresh, hot and delicious. One of my favorite dishes there (probably not as popular as some others, which is why I'm mentioning it here) is the egg foo young. It is loaded with delicious veggies and chicken, and just 1 will make a full meal because they're so large. The last time I went with 5 people and ordered the egg foo young, we had to order another because everyone kept going back for more.

The owner is very friendly and sweet. I've eaten there dozens of times over the years, and she's never in a bad mood. Always happy and nice.

As for the decor, well, it could probably use an update, but honestly? Who cares. It's clean and nice -- and always has people in the restaurant. All in all, some of the best Chinese food I've ever eaten.

This is a very popular little restaurant in town. When I go there, I almost always see someone I know. Everyone feels at home and I've seen plenty of booth hopping, where people go booth to booth visiting each other. It's the atmosphere there that invites such behavior. Nice and friendly...and delicious food. (Seriously...try the egg foo young.)
