Always fresh and delicious. We also love the friendly, personal service we get at Tapas.
Tapa is great! We've only had good experiences here with the staff and food. The staff is always quick and accommodating, and the atmosphere is casual. The food has always been delicious, and we leave feeling full, but not lethargic like a lot of other restaurants leave you feeling.
Only reason we went here was because sushi garden bistro had a long wait. We specifically called to make sure they had steak sushi because that's all my wife will eat, and we were told yes. The guy said it's not on the menu but they'll do it. We got there and the waitress tried to argue with us that they don't do anything like that, so we had to get the owner involved and he said yes they'll do it. Totally not worth the $13 they charged for it. Sushi garden has a steak roll that's $10, and it's twice the size of what they gave us. All their sushi are small. The bowl we got was good, so I give them 3 stars for that. Definitely not going back.
Hapa is the sister restaurant to Nori sushi bar and grill (also in American Fork). I love both of these establishments. They are uniquely different and yet both offer the best sushi around. I've taken family from out of town to other places and then here and without exception they all love this best. The sushi chefs only use the best ingredients and they really know their craft. Flavor combinations and textures are fantastic. If you are in the mood for sushi, this is the place!
This was a new place so we thought we'd give it a try. We were the only people in there. There were 5 in our party. A lot of the sushi rolls were names we've seen at other places. Ordered two appetizers. Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura and Crunchy Baby Calamari. Honestly the vegetables were cut way too big and shrimp were thin. Calamari was more bread than calamari. All were tasty but could have been better.
The wife and I got three rolls. Taylor, Playboy, and Heart Attack. None of them were very spicy. They were tasty and yummy though. Not as big as one would think either. I thought for the price they'd be bigger.
We all talked about the experience and as good as it was, we aren't in a hurry to get back. I would recommend though if you want to get some decent sushi.
