My wife and I went there last night. My wife had the Alfredo w/shrimp. I had the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer and the prime rib for my dinner. Everything was amazing! Our waiter Christian was fantastic and very attentive. He checked on us for refills and asked how our meal was going a few times. If I even looked his way, he would stop and ask if we need anything. Atmosphere was great. Very quiet and romantic. We had a reservation for 7:30. They got us right in. Can’t wait to visit the Zermatt again and eat at this amazing restaurant. Thanks Z’s!
Understanding that there may be limitations due to COVID I’ll be gentle. This was not the dining experience I expected from such a reputable place. My wife and I were staying celebrating our 1 yr anniversary and decided to make Z’s our choice for a nice dinner. The staff seemed rather young and inexperienced. Menu seemed very small and simple ( again perhaps due to COVID so ok). Appetizer of shrimp cocktail came served on a plate with wilted romaine lettuce, not great on presentation but still tasted good. We ordered the baseball sirloin for her and the New York strip for me. Both steaks were overcooked. She went ahead with hers, however, I’m a purest when it comes to steak and will only eat it rare (was cooked very close to well). So after waiting 10-15 min to get someone’s attention I asked for a new one. So we ate our anniversary dinner separate basically. Waited a long time for drink refills as well. Seemed very disorganized. I guess for the price and with this places reputation I expected more. I feel in a nicer place like this if you send something back, the manager should at least pay a visit to your table. When it came time to pay the check of course there was no mention of any of this problems. I have no issue paying premium prices but you should receive premium service and premium food for those prices. Hopefully coming out of COVID they will regain the quality that got them those “best of” awards.
We had the pleasure of dining here tonight the pasta was off the chart awesome if you have the opportunity take time to eat at this great restaurant !
I am not a fan of fine dining with small proportions and big prices. But as fine dining goes this was the best I have experienced. We went on Valentine's day and the place was not overcrowded. The live entertainment was very enjoyable. The food was awesome.
