Kaffe Mercantile South Ogden

Cool little spot, every now and then come in for a coffee and some hot food. It's a little pricey but it's a small business with good vibes, worth the few extra bucks. Awesome view in the back if you want to stay and stair at the mountains.

I recently visited Kaffe Mercantile and had a mixed experience. While the atmosphere was pleasant, I encountered some issues that left me less than satisfied.

Firstly, there was a noticeable discrepancy between the prices listed on the board and what I was charged. This bait-and-switch tactic was disappointing and left me feeling misled. Although they had a sign informing this I can’t help but wonder how much they are charging for basic items.

Additionally, the customer service was lacking. When I asked a question about the coffee, the staff seemed uninformed and uninterested in helping. This lack of knowledge and effort deterred me from seeking assistance with other inquiries.

On the positive side, the food was decent, tasting, fine but not standing out as anything special. It needed something to tie it together like a specialty sauce.

In summary, Kaffe Mercantile has a pleasant atmosphere, but potential customers should be cautious about pricing discrepancies and may not find the customer service up to par. The food is acceptable, but don’t expect anything extraordinary.

I gave 3 stars! They have this sign on every table stating you can text ahead of your in a rush! I’ve used this service three times and only 1x out of the three was my coffee ready. Today I tried The text ahead and I live in west haven and ordered it before I pulled Out of my drive way so it would be ready by the time I got There. It’s a 15 minute drive from west haven to SO. When I walked In there was two gals in the kitchen area gossiping. I let Then know I texted ahead. The one girl with blonde hair said “oh sorry sometimes our phone is slow, so we don’t always get a texr”. It’s a iPhone so it states when it’s delivered. So, I didn’t push I let It go. But given the 1x out of 3 my coffee was ready is kinda ridiculous. I feel If you offer this perc then maybe staff should pay more attention to their duties than talking in the kitchen.

Great local coffee shop in south Ogden , if your looking for something different than Starbucks this your place! Only tried the coffee but will be back for the bakery items :)

How have I never been in before? I’ve driven past a million times! They have so many flavors and seasonal specials. They also have a reward punch pass! I got the pistachio cold foam latte. Yummmm!!!
