Customer service is outstanding. The Inn isolated in the heart of it all...walking distance to the small convenient store/gas station. Restaurants, ice cream place and Mike's Tiki bar all within walking distance. Caffe Lotti across the street had great food, but horrible cold brew. The Inn has a great patio in the back, with a hot tub and also access to the creek in the back of the property. The room for bike storage is great. Highly recommend The Village Inn.
The short of it is that the Village Inn is where you want to stay. Period. Top tier. The grounds are beautiful, the location is ideal, the price is right, the rooms are clean and stocked and the new owners are an absolute delight.
The property has a lovely brook, an orchard, vineyard and lots of common spaces - a hot tub, firepit, small library lounge and kitchen. The rooms are extremely clean and it is obvious that the new owners (2021) are putting significant effort into tastefully modernizing, but keeping the rustic charm of the old inn. We were lucky enough to get a tour of some of the other rooms at checkout time. The new owners not only went above and beyond with the service but also made great recommendations on how to spend our time in the area...chatting with them immediately brought great ease and humour into our day. It's also worth mentioning the location of the Inn is perfect for exploring the world-class trails (summer & winter) and it's right in the heart of the town for meals/supply runs & gear rental -but we'd come back just for the experience at the Village Inn.
First visit to Kingdom Trails and we couldn't be happier with our choice to stay at The Village Inn. We booked the property's Farmhouse Near, a standalone house just a few steps from the main Inn, right in the heart of town, which is equally close to the trails, restaurants, and perhaps the most important, post-ride ice cream.
We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor lounge space, but most important to us was the very well-appointed kitchen. With a high-end gas stove at its heart and all the cutlery, utensils, cook and dishware we needed to prepare, serve and enjoy a few family-style meals, we were right at home at The Village Inn.
An evening night cap at the riverside firepit was the perfect way to end the day.
We purchased an annual pass for Kingdom Trails and plan to make The Village Inn our home-base for our visit.
The overall experience is great! The many amenities given the reasonable price can't be beat. Indoors you have access to a kitchen, sitting room, and bike storage room. There is even an accessible shower that can be used after you've checked out. Outdoors there is a hot tub, a large seating area with table and patio area with chairs. There is also an area setup to sit around a fire next to the stream at the back of the property. You can even camp in the lawn for a lower rate than staying in a room. The rooms are well appointed and the beds are comfortable. I highly recommend staying here for a mountain biking trip.
Stayed at the Village Inn to mountain bike at Kingdom Trails. The room was fantastic, super clean and the bed was unbelievably comfortable! Had a restful night's sleep after a full day of biking. Enjoyed the hot tub at the end of the day to soak the tired legs and the bike room was vert convenient and safe. Right downtown and close to everything. Will be staying here again. Thank you so much for your great hospitality! :)
