I am a little late in writing this review, however I wanted to thank David especially for such warm, welcoming accommodations when my husband and I stayed last year in October. The Lotus is located in beautiful Bolton Valley and is nestled at the top of the mountain surrounded by the reds, golds, and fiery oranges of the trees in autumn. It was peaceful, beautiful, and clean. We were welcomed by the beautiful stone fireplace with oversized cozy couches and then led around the property. Our room was clean and had a wood-burning stove inside which was perfect for the Vermont chill in early October. I also took advantage of the amenities like the hot tub and sauna. The spring water was delicious, and I enjoyed the coconut milk in my coffee in the morning. I practice yoga, so having a space was a treat while my husband dozed in front of the fireplace. We were about 15 minutes from Waterbury and Stowe so the location was ideal, because we weren’t surrounded by crowds on the busy three-day weekend. I had the opportunity converse with David in front of the fireplace during downtime, and his openness was soothing. Overall, it was an awesome retreat that I would recommend to persons who want to visit Vermont but also want space from the tourism.

This beautiful and cozy eco-lodge is an delightful and charming bed and breakfast in a convenient location at the base of Bolton Valley Ski Resort, VT. Bolton Valley is a relatively small yet fun mountain with variable terrain. Lotus Mountain Retreat really has been a true pleasure to visit and spend a couple days, a blessing in disguise and a total gem of a find. The amazing property is newly run by Ananda who is a true joy with an inspiring vision to build a resort co-operative, retreat and home of transformation inviting healers, artists, and inspired souls. Beautifully decorated and adorned with plants, crystals and visionary artwork, the retreat center is equipped with 15 cozy rooms, (additional dormitory/hostel accommodations underway), a plant based diner, kombucha on tap!!, a sauna and hot tub, a yoga room, a comfortable fireside lounge, a geodesic dome, and direct access to the mountain. In addition to inviting passing by travelers and engineers of change into the welcoming space, the retreat center offers workshops, classes, and events for those both far and near.

Whether you are looking for a room to sleep in during your ski trip, or summer adventure (yet to visit when there isn't snow everywhere), a vacation that will nurture body soul mind and spirit, or an inspiring visit to the green mountains for a workshop or special event, the Lotus Mountain Retreat is the place to be.

My kids and I loved this place! If you're looking for a fancy hotel this isn't the place for you. This place has more of a bed and breakfast feel. The rooms are simple and straight forward but very warm, homie, and welcoming. The whole place has a bohemian healing vibe. The owner was super nice and welcoming. I will be returning. The only complaint I had is that the walkway wasn't shoveled and I have two small children, other than that this place was awesome!

Service was helpful and polite. It was a little pricey if you paid on the day for service and rentals though buying ahead is recommended. The public areas are basic with no lockers though it's only to accommodate the essentials, not as a luxury resort

Had a great stay at Lotus! All of the staff were accommodating and kind! Ricky was incredibly informative and welcoming upon arrival and founder Krysta was very kind and helpful( especially when our car got stuck, she pushed and drove it out like a champ..thank again!)The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, giving off a very positive and welcoming energy! Wish we had more time to enjoy and take part in their yoga classes and variety of massages! (Just means we’ll have to return)
