A special Shrine in Vermont that is a place of renewal and comforting peace. I was there once for a weekend stay many years ago, but to this day, it continues to call me in my mind, so I continue to help them with their mission.

Absolutely beautiful ❤️. The grounds were perfect, the displays touching, and the atmosphere serene. The Stations of the Cross grounds, truly inspiring 🙏

Went here with my parents as part of our Vermont Vacation on August 29th 2023. It was a long ride from South Hero, VT where we stayed. However, it was very quiet and very beautiful. The views of the water are great, and one can even swim at your own risk if you want. (i didn't, but just putting it out there!) I found the sign in the front of the shrine a bit rude which said "due to this being a place of worship, proper attire is required". We didn't see anyone that enforced this, but i found it rude because some people just travel up there as peaceful tourists, and may not be religous either. Cool that there is an outdoor church. There is also buildings with a gift shop and restrooms, and a little musuem. the restrooms were very clean, which is good. the musuem was interesting as it mentioned that the french had church at that location then abandoned it. Also enjoyed the history about Samuel De Champlain, in which the Lake is named after. enjoyed the history part the most.

Decided to take a drive to clear my head. As this particular day was one of reflection I revisited the Shrine. I haven't been here in 25+ years. The property is almost exactly as I remember growing up, although I recall the beach area being bit bigger it's beautiful nonetheless. I didn't attend Mass as there wasn't a service that time/day but I would like to bring my daughter out this summer to make some happy memories with her here too.

The shrine is peaceful and beautiful. A great place to pray and recharge. The store has a fair selection of items both religious and tourism related at fair prices. The ride to get there is very scenic and great for motorcycle, bicycle, or car.
