The Copper Fox

If you're from NY or Boston and expect hyper fast service then you need to recalibrate a little and remember this is VT. I work and live in Manhattan - if I want a 30 minute dinner I know where to get one. On the other hand if I want well executed, freshly prepared food in a laid back environment with servers who care then the Copper Fox has that. Nice selection of apps and entrees interesting beer selection and pretty decent wines at good prices. Dial back your I-need-it-now angst and take time to enjoy your company and the food & drink and you'll get why this place is worth top marks.

We ended up here quite by accident for our 11th anniversary, and I am so glad we did! The entire experience was absolutely wonderful and the food! The food was extraordinary! The head chef and owner (Nick) came out and greeted his patrons, welcomed us, and was very friendly along with talented in his culinary expertise. Kelly was our server I've never had better. The atmosphere was just that perfect combination of refinement and comfort. We are definitely going back!

A friend and I recently had a delightful lunch at the newly renovated Copper Fox. The service was genuinely friendly but not 'in your face,' and the food was delicious--an avocado toast concoction that needs a much more elegant name to reflect the imagination and subtle flavors the chef put into it. The renovation created a fresh new ambience, attractive, nice use of space, and choice of where to sit...our favorite is the 'stage,' a corner table apart from the others and surrounded by windows.
In short, I highly recommend The Copper Fox. If it repeats the quality of our experience, you will be very pleased and put the place on your favorites list...it is worth a drive!

Loved everything about this restaurant. From the moment you enter you are greeted very warmly by the super friendly staff. Restaurant is beautiful yet homey feeling too and the restrooms were spotless. I am Vegan and was able to order a delicious meal to meet my special requirements. Cocktails are just delicious and inventive. Lastly Nick the owner/Chef came out to chat and see how we liked the place. He is the best! Will visit again and again!

This place is amazing... from the moment I opened the door I could tell that we choose just the right place to dine at... on our Expedition Vermont! From details of metal straws and local art... to the music and wine choices... I couldn’t wait to try their grass-fed burger... from a full menu of cuisine... created from local farmers... I knew it would be delicious... it was mouth watering! They even had vegan options for my hubby... good music and good vibes all the way around! Can’t wait to come back and visit...
