“Really enjoyed our third stay with Heather at the Village Inn of Woodstock - this place is THE BEST!!! It's like walking into a friend's home - warm, friendly and comfortable. Everything is classy, well kept and attention to detail is maintained throughout the entire Inn. Breakfast is always served with a smile and the freshest ingredients. The location of the Inn is close to the center of the village while also being close to a wonderfully redone East End park with a walking trail, picnic tables and places to meditate or just sit by the river. This time we had the pleasure of meeting Alice who was running the Inn and cooking while Heather was away. Alice and the rest of the staff did an AMAZING job taking care of all of us - they were so willing to do whatever we needed to make our stay a great one- customizing food and drinks for all guests and taking the time to socialize with us after all their work was done. Family in Vermont - a home away from home is how we feel about everyone and everything at this great place!!”

“Been missing Popeye's since moving up here from Connecticut last year, but the chicken here is nearly as tasty -- the spices are a little different -- and the pieces, especially the thighs, are HUGE in comparison. Jambalaya's very good, too. Only one complaint: They don't take payment in the restaurant area. You have to take a receipt to the convenience store cashiers, pay there and have it stamped before you can come back to Krispy Krunchy and get your food. Maybe when the worker shortage eases?”

“Loved the place! The food was good too. Their beers were interesting! Posting pictures of the place. Unfortunately was too hungry and forgot to take pictures of the food. But everything was homemade including the fries, and that was wicked awesome. The guy at the counter was very warm as well.”

“This is a cute little ice cream/gift shop in the middle of downtown Woodstock, Vermont! We stopped in quickly today to try their maple creemee - it was excellent! I’ve tried many maple creemees across Vermont and this was right up there with the best. If you’re wanting to try a great maple creemee, come here! They also have other ice cream, lots of maple and Vermont-themed snacks and treats, drink options, some clothing, and more gift items. It’s a really cute store and I’m happy we stopped in. I do have to say it seemed like the guy behind the counter was having a really bad day (not very friendly and was trying to rush us to pay and get out) but hey, at least the ice cream was very good. I’ll definitely be coming back purely because the creemee was so good!! Try this place out if you’re here in Woodstock and have a sweet tooth!”

“We have been regulars for 20 years. They make a drink specially for us. We walk in and whoever is behind the bar starts making it. Chicken Carlos is a favorite and Carlos also has a way with pork. We have several revolving favorite appetizers and entrees on the menu. Gretchen's desserts, especially the chocolate raspberry cake, are wonderful and her homemade ice cream rock. The wait staff make dining there a fun experience. Love the Skunk!!!”

“Today was the first time we stopped in. They have been open for about 2 months, and we drive by them every day to bring our child to school. I got The Henny Penny that came with a small portion of chips and a side of pickles which was very good, we also got a container of potato salad, Asian salad, and a coleslaw, which were equally as good. The owner is very friendly, and the service was quick, and the food was fresh. Overall, it was a good experience. They are open from 7am-2pm Tuesday-Saturday. We stopped around 1045, and there were a couple of people there. If you're looking for a reasonably price breakfast or lunch, I would recommend The Bear Trail. The menu is subject to change”

“Nice small ski base lodge with all amenities you'd expect, such as: rentals, cafeteria, seating, bathrooms and some outdoor seating by fire pit. They also have horse pulled slay rides between lodge and chairlift. It is open most weekends in the winter season, it is busiest during Christmas break and February vacation.”

“Mon Vert Cafe is in a great location. It’s a very cute and homey cafe. Their coffee is good and they also offer an extensive tea menu. I had the French toast and classic breakfast sandwich for take out and they were both okay. I did have to wait awhile to get my order and I did have to drive a bit so I’m sure if I had ate it on the spot it would’ve been fine. One thing I can rave about though is their chocolate croissant. It is honestly the best choco croissant I ever had. The breading is so delicious and the chocolate compliments it so well. I had to go back and purchase an extra croissant bc I knew I wouldn’t want to split it with my boyfriend. I’ll definitely be back.”

“I had The Local without meat and added a avocado. Very good vegetarian option The croissant tasted fresh. Also I had the waffle with berries, a generous portion of the barriers. They have all variations of espresso drinks but I only had drip coffee which was decent. Be prepared for long line on Saturday morning.”

“This place was recommended to us by a local we met on the ski lift at Okemo! We had a delicious dinner! You can tell each dish is thoughtfully composed, and the chef frequently changes offerings based on what he can get locally. The service was great, good wine and beer selection. We will definitely be back next time we visit! 🙂”

“One of the only places in town open all year. After some initial growing pains, this new restaurant has really figured it out. Way better than Willie Dunn’s(the old restaurant there) ever was. Live music all the time, and a newly expanded menu. Our server guy is probably the best server we’ve ever had in this town. Will return.”

“Just took home hot and tasty takeout from GameBird. Best Pulled Pork (The Ginny) sandwich with side of Cole slaw my husband ever had! I especially loved the Fried chicken with triple potatoes! The biscuits melt in your mouth, too! Huge praises to local chef Weston and his crew! It’s going to be our Sunday afternoon treat! Karen from Mount Holly”

“Wonderful local butcher with a modest sandwich board. They're new after Fox and Harrow left, so we finally stopped in on a Sunday. It was quiet, with a steady stream of customers. My lunch was a handmade brat, amazing flavor, on a pretzel bun. Carlynne had her regular bacon cheese burger, and the medium rare was spot on, with a flavor that puts the even the best chains to shame. All their meats and product are completely local. This is where you want to stop for a genuine meal that won't break the bank.. We found they'll be doing rib roasts for Christmas, and they have steaks, burger, brats, and lots of pork cuts everyday.”
