The Crab Shack

A real treasure! This place has excellent food & one of the best soft crab sandwiches I've ever had. Service staff is great, but on a nice summer evening, it may take a "little" longer to get your dinner, but the taste is well worth. I live in the area but only tried it in the spring of '18. I've been back 7 times since then for lunch or dinner!

First, the people here are amazing and so helpful! They are happy and outgoing and made our visit perfect! The food was delicious and almost all of us brought something back home. I had the platter and was very pleased. I had the stuffed crabs before and they were incredible!

I liked this place. Seafood was pretty good. Staff was welcoming. Place was very family friendly. Prices didn't break the bank. Would recommend.

I highly recommend The Crab Shack! My boyfriend had the catfish basket (daily special) and I had the oyster basket. Both baskets had hearty portions and it all was absolutely delicious! The staff were very friendly and efficient. We will eat here again when we return to Chincoteague.

For being the Crab shack, they didn't have local crabs the day we were there. We got there some time around 1pm and the waitress said their local crab guy hadn't come in yet with the crabs which was disappointing. I ended up getting snow crabs which were fine but nothing local about them. The clam chowder was decent but nothing special. The seafood potato skins were the best among the rest of the meal we had there. The staff is very friendly.
