The Lomo Saltado is so far the better dish as it relates to flavor. We tried the ceviche de pescado and it had no flavor; the lime, salt, cilantro, etc. We also tried the Chilcano and it as well was missing flavor; cebolla china and cilantro again added nothing to the soup.
So far for us, the better ceviche is Peru 703 in Centreville.
First time eating Peruvian food, it was FABULOUS! Ordered chicken, beef, and pork saltado, each probably feeds 2 people. The meat, grilled onions and tomatoes, and other veg in the saltado has a delightful smoky flavor. The saltado also comes with fries and rice.. We also ordered black beans, platanos, and salad. We only needed to feed 3, but with the sides, this much food feeds 6-8 people. Delicious and a good deal.
I ordered pickup from here for me and my family. Upon arrival, I was welcomed into a lovely restaurant with lots of character.
The food was wonderful and I will certainly be returning again sometime soon!
A must try place - this restaurant captures the smoky flavors from anticucheria’s dishes (street food joints that grill different types of meats in Peru). I tried a saltado made of mariscos, and it was amazing. The staff is also amazing. This cozy small joint is a gem in Virginia
