Gin Ramen & Asian Tapas

Four of us tried for the first time, bowing to return. The beef Korean dumplings/bun were very tasty but a bit spicy for my wife’s taste. The kimchi appetizer was meh.

Two of us ordered the Gin Ramen, liking it very much. Great combination of flavor and texture. The waitress advertised it as spicy; it was fairly low-spice. The karaage rice bowl was sweeter than I liked and spicier than my wife wanted. It was not advertised as spicy.

We enjoyed the guava margarita.

Our service was very friendly and efficient, and the restaurant’s decor very pleasing.

We will definitely return!

My favorite place in the eisenhower area of Alexandria. Wonderful service and food. Great selection of asian beers and lovely cocktails. The fried tofu and kra pow bao appetizers are awesome. The thai iced tea is a great option for n/a. I have tried the red curry ramen (both non and veg and both are fantastic), the kaarage ramen, and gin ramen are wonderful too. The flavors are just right and all the dishes I have tried are not too heavy (well balanced.) The service whether its at the table or the bar is exceptional. The music (asian covers of popular songs) and ambiance are great as well. Highly recommend!

The restaurant is warm and cozy but still maintains a really cool atmosphere. I love the lighting and design of the place. Service was fast and friendly, always checking in when drinks got low and had great timing. The food was delicious — I had the pork bun and the karaagi donburi. Both flavorful and worth trying. The drinks were also excellent. I had the Polar Bear special (pictured), warm sake and a flight of premium sake. Definitely recommend this place for smaller groups and dates!

Gin ramen is our new favorite ramen spot! The ramen was super flavorful & delicious. The bang bang shrimp was the best I've ever had. I am now obsessed with Thai iced tea because of this place. Even the dessert was both beautifully presented and extremely tasty. Portions were hearty, prices were reasonable. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The place is clean and has a cool vibe. Would highly recommend.
