I stop in here almost weekly, and the lattes have been great! The first time I went I also had the coffee cake which was really good & soft as well. Even at the end of their day I was greeted with a cheery bonjour and was able to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of a great coffee break. I have to note that on my visit last week I left without being able to order as it seemed as though the one person working was taking out trash and must’ve not seen me & the other gentleman that were perusing the shop…but I’m sure it was just an oversight as I’ve been told that this area can be pretty slow on Tuesday afternoons. Really great coffee, and a really great experience otherwise. Bonne chance! 😀

I was very excited to try this coffee shop.
The interior is very RAW, or even sterile. It does not have any warmth or vibe, and the place is pretty small.
The staff is really young and welcoming. Being welcomed in French feels a bit like being back home. Unfortunately, the standards of EU coffee shops are not maintained.

The coffee was very weak, and it tasted watered down. I was given a cappuchino on the wrong milk. Pastry's consistency was overall good, but it was so sweet that I had to scoop the marmalade out of the donut. There was a lot or marmalade:)

I would not be back. It was a nice idea, but the prices are definitely on the higher end for what you get. It is far from the European Standards. And way too sweet. Coffee below average. I paid even 7.70$ for a good cup of coffee elsewhere, but I was very disappointed with what I got in here.

    2.5/5

My one and only complaint was a plastic fork. Everything else was perfect. Food amazing, atmosphere wonderful. You sort of feel like you’re somewhere else. Maybe not exactly France, but we’re not in Kansas. Crepe with mushrooms? Amazing.

Met the owner, definitely authentic French bakery. The prices were very expensive for what you're getting, but everything is made fresh daily, so as long as you go early, it is more worth it. Lots of delicious finds. Our favorite were the filled beignets. The food is better than the coffee.

First time stopped by! I am super happy that I could found an authentic French Bakery in Alexandria!!! Trust me! Everything is so good. And of course you can’t go wrong with the coffee either. The atmosphere feels so welcome. If you want a quick trip to Paris, just walk into Gustave!
