My first visit to the Amherst Bistro about a month ago was a little disappointing but to be fair, I didn't realize I had walked in right before closing. I was ordering take out but the couple who came in after me didn't realize it either and ordered to dine in. The front-end girl was very nice and insisted it was no problem. I ordered a dinner salad. When I got home, I discovered the lettuce leaves were nearly whole and about 25% of the salad was rotten.... literally black and mushy. I'll chock it up to irritated teens who were ready to go home. I've heard other great reports about this restaurant and it's a nice, clean atmosphere. I hope to be writing a great review after my next visit.
4 of us came here and had lunch. Very generous servings. Food tasted good according to all 4 of us. Friendly servicer. Nice little Bistro.
Okay place for a quick lunch. I got an enormous BBQ. It was big enough for 2 meals. Not my fav style of Q, I prefer North Carolina, but it was okay. If I go back I will try one of the specialty sandwiches or wraps.
I decided to stop in based on a menu I recieved. This is a much different restaurant than what I expected. Inessence this is a greasy spoon hole in the wall restaurant. Some items are priced very high, and some items are crazy low. The cashier told me this is their first attempt at a restaurant, but other reviews on other sites lead me to believe that maybe they own at least one other restaurant. Either way, this restaurant will need some help for it to last.
