(December 13, 2018, 11:44 pm)Had heard about Ben's and did it deliver! Hot dog and sausage were spot on. Wonderful crunch to the sausage/hot dog. Chili had wonderful flavor and the fries hot and fresh. Service was warm, friendly and quick. Awesome place for a quick bite!

(July 21, 2018, 3:03 pm)Ben's is ALWAYS a place for great food. Of course, the half-smokes (originally made just for Ben's) are delicious with chili on top. Paired with french fries covered in cheese and a soda, and you are set for a wonderful experience. You can also get just chili and be just as happy--the mix of spices is awesome!
There's a lot of history that happened in and around the Chili Bowl, so take some time to read all about it displayed on the walls of the restaurant(s). The original is on U St. and a recent new one in Arlington. Both have the same great food, but my preference is U St. So many memories, a DC institution--but one with great food and if you take a date, she'll love you for it.
