Ambar is an experience. They offer a $35 tasting menu experience that looks intimidating but is so incredibly worth it. The food is delicious and the menu is large so relaxing and enjoying yourself and the spread of options is a great way to spend a few hours. I would still be there eating if my body was as ready as my heart. Also great happy hour.
Awesome experience! Amazing food. You have to get the unlimited plates at this place, otherwise it won't be quite worth it in terms of price per plate. The quality of food is fantastic and delicious but the amount of food you get per plate can be more. The variety of food is also outstanding, I would recommend the roasted lamb, wild boar patty, and shrimp. Happy hour drinks were tasty and strong as well! I will definitely come back!
Incredible food, and the limitless small plate experience means the delicious delicacies keep coming! Awesome value, especially for the unique and new flavors and food pairings we experienced. Our server left a bit to be desired, but we saw others who were much more enthusiastic and friendly.
This is a small plated place. I went for restaurant week, which is unlimited plates, so we got to try everything. The real prices don't seem worth it to me but the food was good. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is very friendly.
The DC Ambar tastes better to me but it is smaller. Also during restaurant week only the DC one has unlimited drink for $14
My favorite restaurant in Arlington, VA. Some people don't know what to expect with the label "Balkan Food" - but there is such an array of choices of dishes full of flavor, you won't be disappointed. Doing the all-you-can-eat Balkan Experience for $35 per person is the way to go. The food is fresh, the service is great, and atmosphere is lively. Definitely make reservations at peak dinner and brunch hours, as it gets crowded fast. Brunch is delicious as well, with ample servings and delicious brunch drinks.
