Although they are only in their second month, everything we tried was delicious and showed a professional chief is behind this "smoked food" heavy menu.

To be honest we stopped in 2 Fridays ago around 8:30 pm and were disappointed they had not only sold out of smoked brisket but also their ribs. My wife and I enjoy smoked moist brisket not only in the DC area, but in East and Central Texas. We decided to come back when we could try their smoke brisket.

We were nearby on Thursday and decided to drop in. It was a beautiful fall day and sat in their outdoor patio at a sunny table.

My wife enjoyed the Brisket Sandwich with thinly cut fries. Brisket was sliced not chopped like most BBQ places. The fries were lightly fried and seasoned and delicious.

I ordered moist smoked brisket with the three sides special. We did a double order of the Brussels Sprouts roasted in Fish Sauce. They were excellent. Our third side was house- made buttermilk biscuits with butter. Light inside and properly crusted on their outside.

Lunch is an appreciate Dinner menu. Prices and serving size were the same for both.

Reservations are suggested for Friday and Saturday evening dining.

Wow, not sure I can describe it any other way. Not only was the food deliciously unique, the ambiance, the carefully crafted drinks and the service we're all top notch. A major shout out to Chef Drew for making our meal an unforgettable experience. We were so indecisive on what to get, we ended up with a sample of just about everything. Nothing disappointed, not the drinks, not the sides, not the rolls, not the meats, not the pickles or onions, and definitely not the desserts.
The manager and our servers were also fantastic, ensuring that we had everything that we needed/wanted. I can't wait to go back. Thanks for an amazing evening out and best of luck to this new restaurant.

Ruthie’s is fantastic! I’m really happy that a place like this has come within walking distance in my neighborhood. I recently went there for dinner for the first time and was very impressed. The outdoor seating space is extremely inviting and very cool. The chicken tenders, biscuits, and cornbread were absolutely delicious and you could tell they use premium ingredients. The wait staff were so nice. They even have huge wall-sized windows that open up for ventilation. I will definitely be coming back when they open for brunch soon. Must try!

An instant local gem. Warm and welcoming ambience, great service (shout out to Christopher), and absolutely fantastic food.

Other reviews here mentioned the smoked wings with alabama white sauce being excellent. Seconded. Indeed, all their sauces and spreads seem to be house made, and it shows.

We got the apple donuts based on the 'emotional experience' review and, true to form, they were both delicious and evocative of childhood memories. The accompanying berry jam had just the right tartness to balance the cinnamon sugar dipped balls.

The octopus was wonderfully tender. The brisket was pull apart tender. And the various sides were all standouts. Surprisingly, my favorite part of the whole meal may have been the side of fire roasted carrots.

They had plenty of outdoor seating as well. Hopefully they put heat lamps in soon so RAD season extends deep into the winter for those of us still indoor-shy.

Everything we had was DELICIOUS! Service was great and the food was stellar. Some of the best pimento cheese I’ve ever had. The biscuits were tender and cooked perfectly. The grilled oysters were incredible. The grain salad with salmon was such a fun and pleasant surprise. They also have a great wine selection. I can’t wait to go back and try more!
